CreativeEQ Play® is an educational approach using specific narratives, mindfulness techniques and creative activities to support a child's emotional well-being (EQ), self-expression and problem solving through guided play.
The framework helps children explore and identify their natural artistic abilities and interests.
Inspired by the Human Potential Movement and teachings of Abraham Maslow, the ultimate goal is to help children become conscious of their innate creative genius and discover the feeling of moving towards their greatest potential. There are 9 stages we follow which reference the colours of the rainbow and take inspiration from the chakras for a journey into mindfulness and self awareness. We believe that if they can carry this practice and awareness into adulthood the chances of individuals reaching the point of "self actualisation" will increase with a positive influence and significant impact towards humanity and the environment.
CreativeEQ Play® promotes imagination, self-expression, empathy, compassion, self-awareness, mindfulness, a growth mindset, critical and divergent thinking, problem solving, invention and collaboration through narratives and imaginative play. The solutions we build are gamified, fun and collaborative in nature to promote co-creative, cross-pollination, inter-cultural, inter-generational, inspirational ***
The narratives and activities are all rooted in, and promote visions of a regenerative future where we are all living in harmony with each other and the environment.
We aim to support a significant shift towards a more sustainable and optimistic future for our children's and grandchildren which is why we introduce the latest developments in eco-tech and innovative real world solutions. We hope this will plant the seeds for future development and innovation in these areas.
We are also interested in developing a research method to carry out qualitative and longitudinal studies to help us facilitate, reassess, update and deliver on our Mission and "Theory of Change" for The Creative Rise CIC long term.
